Many facilities require secure boundary fencing along with entry gates with access control. Fernden Construction the fencing specialists are able to supply and install a range of secure fencing systems and gates manufactured to keep your boundaries safe and control and monitor vehicle and pedestrian access in and out of your site.
Single leaf self-closing pedestrian gates with access control
This single leaf pedestrian gate has been fitted with a magnetic lock, comms and a fob entry. For ease your trusted visitors are issued with a numbered key fob that will allow them entry to the site, simply hold up the fob to the reader and permitted access will unlock the magnetised lock and the gate can be pushed open.
The fob reader is programable so if one of the fobs is lost it can be black- listed off the system, and reinstated as necessary. The comms unit is for visitors requesting entry, they press the call button and speak to security / reception and they can be buzzed in or declined.
This particular gate is fitted with a self-closer unit and a keyed lock, the self-closer will automatically close the single leaf gate behind the user and the maglock will secure the gate in its closed position again, the keyed lock allows another higher level of security with key holders able to deadlock the gate mechanically at the end of the working day.
During the day when the site is in use and the gate has been unlocked, for exit and emergency exit an emergency push button exit is conveniently placed on the inside of the facility, this is depressed and the maglock releases for exit and the gate again closes behind them.
Double leaf gates with access control
Entrance gate can be supplied with the automation or the automation equipment can be added to suitable existing gate sets. To gain access, a comms unit is usually positioned near or on the gate post, access can be gained by calling on the comms unit this is answered and controlled to open by a push button entry from security / reception. This comms unit can also have a keypad number entry – key fob entry – and also mobile controlled. The gate/s are opened by powered arm/s that are securely fixed to the gate frame and gate posts, the gates are timed to close after the vehicle has entered. To exit, either sensors monitoring the road or a buried exit loop monitor for vehicle/s and open the gate/s automatically to allow vehicle egress. As an alternative to this a second comms unit can be mounted inside the gate/s where the visitor has to call into reception / security to allow monitored exits.
Along with automated swing gates, Fernden can supply and install cantilever sliding gates, tracked sliding gates and bi folding gates. Either manual or automated.
